Inciteful tracks the questions your buyers actually type, checks them automatically across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity, and stores every answer it reads — so “are we in the answer?” stops being an argument in a meeting and starts being a number with a date on it.
7-day trial, no card. No tag, no script, nothing to install on the client’s site.
Visibility
See it the way your client will.
Every tracked question, on every surface, with the date it changed — and a headline that excludes branded questions so the number survives being shown to a client.
Checked automatically across
ChatGPT
Google AI Overviews
Perplexity
Claude, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot are add-ons from $9 per client per month — switched on for the clients that need the extra surface, not billed across a roster that doesn’t. Pro and Agency include Microsoft Copilot as a core engine; on Solo it is a $9 per-client add-on. See the plans and add-ons.
The dashboard
The surface, running.
Not a screenshot and not a CSS drawing of one. Switch the engine filter and every figure re-computes; open a competitor to focus them across the table and the charts; expand a cited domain down to the exact pages behind it. The tabs across the top are the same views the app ships.
This category does not have a shortage of dashboards. It has a shortage of numbers anyone can source. Every rule below costs us a bigger-looking chart, and every one of them is why the chart survives the moment a client asks where it came from.
Branded questions never set the headline. A brand names itself in answers about itself. Those questions are tagged and still tracked — they just don’t inflate the score you present.
New and changed results are confirmed three times. Ask an assistant the same question twice and it can name a different set of brands. One answer is an anecdote; three, aggregated with a confidence band, is a measurement.
Unmeasured is written, not drawn. Where a dimension has no defensible source — question volume for AI answers, or sentiment for a brand no answer describes — the cell says so. Never a zero, never a flattering hundred.
Every figure carries its basis. Scope, sample depth and the date of measurement travel with the number, on screen and in the client report.
Visibility score and trend
See whether you are named more often than last week.
One unbranded visibility score, plotted per run against the previous window and split per engine. That split is the point: “Perplexity names us, ChatGPT doesn’t” is a brief you can act on, where a single blended average is a shrug.
Rankings
See who is being named instead of you.
You and the competitors you chose, in one sortable table: visibility, share of voice, sentiment on a 0–100 scale, and average position. Not the whole internet — the five rivals the client actually loses deals to, which is the board a client recognises.
Buyer journey
See which stage of the buy you lose.
Every tracked question sits in a stage — researching, comparing, or ready to buy — and each stage carries its own named rate. Strong on “what is”, absent on “best for”, is a different problem with a different fix, and it is invisible in a single average.
All answers
Read the answer the number came from.
Every checked answer is stored and filterable by engine, verdict, topic and question, with the text there to read. When a client asks where a figure came from, you open the answer, and the meeting moves on.
Three more views, in the same demo above
Sentiment
How the answers describe you, scored 0–100 from the answers themselves, per brand and per topic — with an em dash where there is not enough evidence to score rather than a comfortable middle.
Sources
The domains an assistant leaned on to build the answer, typed and expandable to the exact pages cited. This is where “why does it keep naming them?” gets a concrete answer you can go and work on.
Topics
Your questions grouped the way buyers ask them, with the gap surfaced as a topic to build rather than a list of strings. Share of Voice takes the same data further, rival by rival.
How it works
Visibility, measured from the answer.
The refresh is daily, automatically, on every plan — and that number is the one the compute budget behind the plan actually funds. Tracking is fully automatic — there is nothing to trigger — and a lightly-used question pool cycles faster than a full one, because the tracker paces itself inside the budget.
Choose the questions
Scan the client’s site and Inciteful proposes the buyer questions worth tracking, grouped by intent. Keep what matters, delete what doesn’t, add your own.
Collect the answers
Each tracked question runs against every assistant that client is entitled to, and the full answer is stored — not a score derived from one and thrown away.
Confirm what changed
New and changed results are re-sampled three times and aggregated with a confidence band, so one unusual answer never moves a client’s chart.
Report what moved
Scores, rankings and stage rates update together, deltas are against the previous equal window, and the evidence stays one click behind every figure.
Against a rank tracker
Position on a results page is not presence in an answer.
Rank tracking answers a question buyers have stopped asking. This is the same client conversation, run through both tools.

Questions
The things evaluators ask first.
How often does Inciteful check?
Daily, automatically, on every plan — there is no manual check to run, and nothing to remember. Checks pace themselves inside each plan’s compute budget, so a lightly-used question pool cycles through even faster than the headline cadence.
Which assistants does it check?
ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity on every plan. Claude, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot are add-ons enabled per client from $9 per client per month, so an agency pays for the extra surfaces only on the clients that need them. Pro and Agency include Microsoft Copilot as a core engine; on Solo it is a $9 per-client add-on.
Why do the headline scores ignore branded questions?
Because a brand almost always gets named in answers about itself, and counting those inflates the number you put in front of a client. Branded questions are tagged and still tracked — you can look at them deliberately — they simply never set the headline.
What counts as being named?
Three states rather than one: recommended, where the answer names you; in sources, where the assistant read your page but named somebody else; and not found. The middle state is where most of the work is, because it means the page is reachable and the answer still went elsewhere.
Do we have to install anything?
No. There is no tag and no script — the answers are collected from the assistants themselves, so tracking starts as soon as a client has a domain and a question set. Connecting Search Console later adds the rank-versus-answer view, but nothing depends on it.
We run twenty clients. How do tracked questions work?
Every client carries its own daily-checked allowance: 25 questions per client on Pro and Agency, 75 for Solo’s single brand. A $25 question pack deepens any one client by another 25, so the client in a fight pays for its own depth and nobody else’s reporting thins out.
