Inciteful tracks the questions your buyers actually ask, counts every brand named in every answer, and gives you your share of the answer space against the rivals you chose — measured day after day on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity.

Share of voice

## Where you stand, against the brands you chose.

Your share of the answers, measured against the competitors you nominated rather than a list we invented — and the movement that made it change.

Live component. Switch assistant, focus a rival, or move between 7 and 30 days — every figure on the view recomputes.

Measured on

- ChatGPT

- Google AI Overviews

- Perplexity

Claude, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot switch on per client, from $9 a month — because on our keys that is genuinely what they cost. Pro and Agency include Microsoft Copilot as a core engine; on Solo it is a $9 per-client add-on.

Positioning

## A board you chose beats a leaderboard you didn’t.

Most tools hand you a category ranking somebody else assembled, and a local studio ends up measured against a household name it will never pitch against. Inciteful asks who you actually lose work to, and every share figure on the page is scoped to that board and says so.

- You name the rivals — up to five per client — and change them whenever the market does.

- Suggestions come from evidence, not a database: a scan of your own site, plus the domains the assistants are already citing in your answers.

- A run with no rival evidence never plots as a hundred per cent win. It is excluded, and the chart footnotes the exclusion.

What you get

## Four ways to find the work.

Each view answers a question an account manager is going to be asked out loud.

Share of voice See your slice of the answer space. Every brand named across your tracked questions is counted and split between you and your board, run by run. Filter to a single assistant and the whole split re-bases to it.
[Competitor drill-down See exactly what a rival is winning. Open any competitor for the questions they were named on, the answers they took that you did not, and the domains the assistants leaned on to say it. That is a list of jobs, not a scoreboard.](https://tryinciteful.com/features/ai-visibility)
[Topic boards See which subjects you are losing. Your questions group into topics, and each topic carries its own rate and the rivals named inside it. The weakest row is usually the service you sell hardest.](https://tryinciteful.com/features/content)
[Open ground See the questions nobody owns yet. Some questions come back naming no one you track at all. That is uncontested ground, and it is the cheapest brief you will write this quarter.](https://tryinciteful.com/report)

Method

## Every number on the board is measured.

Competitive tools get graded on how full the table looks. This one gets graded on whether you can defend it in a client meeting.

| Share of voice | Measured. Brand names extracted from every answer, split across the board you set, with the question set and date attached. |
| --- | --- |
| Questions won | Measured. Per rival, per assistant, per run — with the verbatim answer stored behind it as evidence. |
| Sources behind them | Measured. The domains each answer cited, expandable to the exact page the assistant pulled from. |
| Sentiment | Measured where an answer actually describes the brand. Where none does, the row says so rather than showing a neutral-looking score. |
| Average position, rivals | Measured. Source order is recorded per rival, per assistant, at the same grain your own domain gets — so the position column is comparable across the whole board. |
| Question volume | — Not measured. There is no volume source for AI questions we would stand behind, so there is no gauge here pretending otherwise. |

How it works

## Share of voice, measured from the answer.

No panel data and no estimates. The questions get asked, the answers get read, and the names get counted.

1. ### Choose the board Name the rivals you actually lose work to, up to five per client. Suggestions come from your own site scan and from the domains AI already cites.

2. ### Ask the questions Your tracked questions run automatically across the three core assistants — four on Pro and Agency, which include Microsoft Copilot — with Claude, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot available per client.

3. ### Count the names Every brand in every answer is extracted and matched to your board. New and changed results are confirmed with three samples before they move a number.

4. ### Watch it move The tracker runs daily, working through your question pool on your plan’s compute budget — a cadence we print because it is one we can fund.

FAQ

## What people ask about share of voice.

What exactly is share of voice here?
Your share of the brand names AI assistants give when they answer your tracked questions, against the rivals on your board. It is a share of the answer space — not of search traffic, and not of ad impressions.

Where do the competitor names come from?
Two places, both declared. You choose the board — up to five rivals per client — and Inciteful suggests candidates from a scan of your own site and from the domains that already turn up in your answers. Nothing joins the board silently.

Do competitors get the same measurement I do?
Yes. Position, questions won, cited sources and sentiment are recorded for every rival on the board, at the same grain as your own domain. Where a dimension has no evidence — a brand no answer describes gets no sentiment score — the row says so rather than showing a neutral-looking number.

How often do the numbers refresh?
Daily, automatically, with nothing to remember. The cadence is derived from your plan’s monthly compute budget rather than asserted in a headline — a daily promise nobody can fund is how this category got its reliability problem.

Can I change the board later?
Yes, up to five competitors per client, whenever the market moves. New runs use the new board, and every chart states the scope it was measured on so an old screenshot never quietly reads as a new one.

Is this only useful for agencies?
No. Solo covers a single brand with 75 daily-checked questions; Pro and Agency add client workspaces, each carrying its own 25 daily-checked questions, with $25 packs to deepen any one client. The numbers are on [pricing](https://tryinciteful.com/pricing).
