# Inciteful vs Profound: a published price, or a sales call?

> Profound publishes two self-serve plans. Here is what $99, $399 and $749 buy on Inciteful, with every Profound figure quoted from their own pricing page.

This is the markdown twin of the page above, published by Inciteful for AI agents. It is generated from the same source data as the HTML, so the two never diverge. Reviewed: 2026-07-18.

Both measure how AI assistants answer your category. The gap is access. Profound publishes two annual-billed plans and routes a second brand, an API key and everything enterprise to a demo. Inciteful publishes three prices and every one of them is self-serve.

The evidence

## Judge it on the surface, not the feature list.

Where you actually sit in the source list an assistant read — not whether you were mentioned, but how far down.

The short version

Profound is the deeper measurement estate: AI traffic attribution wired into CDN and analytics platforms, prompt-volume data, up to nine answer engines, SSO and SOC 2 — nearly all of it inside a tailored Enterprise package.

Inciteful publishes three prices — $99, $399 and $749 a month, billed monthly — and every tier is self-serve: three engines from the entry plan (four on Pro and Agency, with Copilot included), per-client daily-checked questions, white-label client reports from $399, and 20 client workspaces at $749 with extra clients at $39.

If your evaluation ends in a procurement cycle, Profound is built for you. If it ends this week with a card and a client roster, the second brand is a plan change here and a demo request there.

The real differences

## Three places the two actually diverge.

Both products measure answers. What separates them is how much of the product you can reach without talking to anybody.

Access

### Every tier is self-serve

Profound publishes $99 Starter and $399 Growth, both billed yearly, and marks everything above them a tailored package behind “Get a Demo”. Inciteful publishes $99, $399 and $749, billed monthly, cancel any time, on a 7-day trial that takes no card and no call.

The entry plan

### Three engines at $99, not one

Profound’s $99 Starter tracks ChatGPT only — 50 prompts, 1,500 responses a month, one seat. Inciteful’s $99 Solo tracks ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity across 75 daily-checked questions, with one seat and the grounded content engine included.

The second client

### A plan change, not a procurement cycle

On Profound, tracking multiple companies is an Enterprise line. On Inciteful the second client is Pro at $399 for 10 workspaces, and the thirtieth is Agency at $749 — about $25 a client a month, with white-label reports included from Pro.

## Ten rows, and the date they were read.

FAQ

## Questions evaluators actually ask.

We are an enterprise — should we just use Profound?
If the requirements list has SSO, SOC 2 and a named account team on it, then yes, and there is no point pretending otherwise — Inciteful has none of those. Come back when what you need is measurement you can buy this afternoon and report under someone else’s brand.

Can we run both?
Some teams will: Profound for edge-log attribution and prompt volume, Inciteful for per-client daily tracking, white-label client reporting and gated content. They meter different things, so the two bills overlap far less than two trackers would.

Is the $99 Profound plan really ChatGPT only?
That is what their pricing page said on 15 August 2026: ChatGPT tracking only, 50 prompts, 1,500 responses a month, 100 agent credits, one seat, billed yearly. Inciteful’s $99 plan tracks three engines across 75 daily-checked questions with one seat, billed monthly.

What is a tracked question, and how is it different from a prompt?
A tracked question is one buyer question, checked across every engine your plan runs and stored with the answer it produced. Inciteful pools them across the whole account, so the number is your account’s budget rather than a per-client allocation you cannot move.

How often do the checks run?
Daily, automatically, paced inside the compute budget behind each plan — that budget sets the cadence rather than marketing setting it. New and changed results are re-checked with three samples before the number moves, which is where accuracy actually comes from.

How current are these numbers?
Read on 15 August 2026, and the date sits under the table. Where their public pages do not state something, the row says so rather than asserting an absence. If anything here is wrong or has moved, email hello@tryinciteful.com and it is corrected and re-dated.
